HUID-based Hallmarking brings transparency, and ensures consumers rights. After lots of efforts by government of India, they made BIS standards for the HUID and implemented a Cloud API based solution for all the registered vendors to allow to get unique HUID code directly from BIS server and print(laser mark) on to the jewellery.
The project includes a system to have secure connection between our application and BIS cloud server to get the code and print without any manipulation. This solution should make sure that it does not allow vendor or anyone to interfere with the code and authenticate using Vendor credentials which will be provided by BIS body.
Thus, we have provided following software and hardware solutions to our OEM partner;
- BIS server authentication and communication(Get HUID and mark)
- Easy interface to provide request number, job number and AHC tag ID to get the correct HUID code
- One time BIS setup
- Camera based live preview directly in to the software to save time for marking object alignment and correct position of the mark
- Change font of the HUID
- HUID and BIS symbol position or size change using Page-Up, Page-Down and Arrow keys
- Marking report and live status
- Communication with OEM laser machine over 3 or 4-Axis card for the laser movement
We provide advanced laser marking integration solutions designed specifically for OEM laser machine manufacturers and system integrators working in the jewellery and hallmarking ecosystem.
Our solution enables seamless technical compatibility with BIS HUID workflows, ensuring that manufacturers can build systems aligned with evolving regulatory and traceability requirements.
We do not provide hallmarking services, BIS registration, or direct solutions to jewellers/end users.
About BIS HUID
The Hallmark Unique Identification (HUID) is a unique code assigned to each jewellery item during the official hallmarking process and must be generated and validated through the BIS system.
Laser marking of HUID is only permitted:
- After valid generation of HUID via BIS systems
- Through authorized workflows involving registered jewellers and BIS-recognized Assaying & Hallmarking Centres (AHCs)
Our Role
AdiInfi provides:
- Software and integration support for laser machine manufacturers
- API-level compatibility for BIS HUID workflows (where applicable)
- Automation support for traceability and marking processes
AdiInfi does NOT:
- Generate HUID codes
- Provide BIS certification or approvals
- Authorize any entity to perform hallmarking
- Supply solutions directly to end-user jewellers for independent marking
Compliance & Responsibility Disclaimer
All users, manufacturers, and integrators must ensure that:
- Laser marking is performed only after valid BIS HUID generation
- The system is deployed within BIS-approved environments
- Usage complies with the BIS and Hallmarking Regulations
Any misuse of laser marking systems, including marking without valid HUID or outside BIS-approved processes, is illegal and may lead to penalties, including fines and prosecution under applicable laws .
AdiInfi shall not be responsible or liable for:
- Unauthorized or fraudulent use of laser marking systems
- Any misuse by manufacturers, integrators, jewellers, or third parties
- Non-compliance with BIS regulations by end users
We strongly discourage and do not support any form of:
- Fake hallmarking
- Offline/manual HUID engraving
- Use of laser machines without BIS system integration
- Deployment of systems to unauthorized entities
